Your Sony guarantee: what you need to know

Sony product needs a repair? Find out if it’s covered under the guarantee..

General Sony guarantees:

These last for 1 year and cover TVs, videos, Hi-Fis, cameras, car stereos and other audio visual products.

If you need a repair, you have to show your original purchase documents. If you don’t have these, you will have to pay for any repairs.

Some other products, such as lamps, projectors and batteries have a limited warranty. To find out more, see the general Sony guarantee conditions

What’s not covered under guarantee?

You are not covered for damage caused by:

  • humidity
  • the product being dropped
  • lighting
  • the product being used in the wrong way

Written extended guarantee contract, which is properly registered at the moment of TV purchase at dealer shop, and sales receipt has been set as a mandatory requirement in order to receive this additional service. Please demand at your dealer shops and Sony Centers!

Sony Extra Service Terms and conditions for Consumer LCD TV Products

We would like to offer additional Extra service on a charge base for your product covering repairs up to five years from the moment of TV purchase depending on your choice.
Three different packages are available:

Please draw your special attention on Complete Coverage package , where, in addition to 5 years repairs on technical faults offered, a sudden and unforeseen physical act resulting in mechanical or electrical breakdown is covered as well.

Written Extra service contract, which is properly registered at dealer shop, and sales receipt has been set as a mandatory requirement in order to receive this additional service.
The Extra service contract is only valid in the country you purchased it.
Please ask at your dealer shops and Sony Centers where competent personnel will inform you about pricing and explain about benefits you will get!
