Two kinds of High Definition

High Definition televisions come in two types, each with its own easy-to-spot logo: HD ready and HD ready with Full HD. The higher the HD resolution, the more detailed and lifelike the image you see on-screen. HD ready resolution delivers twice as many pixels as traditional Standard Definition (SD). And if an HD ready TV is also Full HD, it doubles the pixels again – generating 1080 horizontal lines of resolution for the very best High Definition experience available in the home today.

For cabled plug-and-play compatibility with High Definition devices (and BRAVIA Sync), all BRAVIA models offer up to four HDMI™ connections. HDMI™ is the next-generation cable that allows you to experience High Definition films, games and more with no loss in quality.
