Hi Guys

I have an F Series Vaio that's about 2 years old.

Recently the hard drive went boom so I had a new one installed.

I then used the recovery discs to get my laptop working again.

I did the usual first steps with user name etc on Windows and connected to the wifi.

I then closed the lid to take it to another room.

When I reopenned the lid the graphic resolution had gone crazy. The pointer and the icons were massive.

I tried to change them in the desktop Preferences but they still looked dull and in no way HD like they should on the LCD screen. The screen is called a non descript PHP rather than my HD one as well.

There seems to be now 64-bit options on the different modes you can pick and when I ran a Microsoft test on the laptop it scored 1.0 on Graphics and gaming and screen res.

I presume it's just loaded a 32-bit version or I can use the repair option through BIOS???

Any one had this or have any ideas?

Cheers

    Hi rybyron,

You haven’t stated the full model number so unable to give a full link, but have you tried installing any updated graphics drivers available on the support site?
