I've also been looking for an answer on this type of problem, but to no avail. It seems like I am stuck. This could be a HDD problem. I will try to change mine and see what will happen.

Only universal remote control will work on multiple devices unless your remote does have this function.

As long as you have a connection converter I guess this is possible, but I am not sure where can you buy one.

I suggest for you to send it back so they could either repair or replace it. Since you got this problem from the beginner, they should do something about it.

Check the control panel of your touchpad and check if it has been set up corretly. You can also check your device manager if your touchpad is still available. You can do a rollback or reinstall its driver.

You can't do anything more but to keep on contacting Sony until they are able to fix the problem. Be sure that you are currently on the phone with them while fixing it on your end.

Repairing your OS might save you from this problem which works most of the time. Though we are not sure if you already have a failing hardware or something.

Don't rest that this type of problem should be fixed on your end. Since your Vaio is just brand new, be sure to have the whole laptop replaced. You don't deserve to get this type of problem for a brand new laptop.

You can check your BT Home Hub 3 and be sure that it can support more than 2 device connected at the same time. I am not sure what seems to be the problem, but BT gets a lot of complaints about it.

Follow this steps

1.Ensure the notebook is connected to a working power source using the factory supplied AC Adapter. Ensure the AC wall plug is not controlled by a switch and that other devices on the same circuit are on.

NOTE: If the AC Adapter is connected to a power strip, surge suppressor or UPS, ensure the power strip, surge suppressor, or UPS is powered on and working properly.

2. Ensure the computer is fully shut down and powered off before trying to start the computer. To do this, push and hold the power switch for 15 seconds. This will ensure the computer has shut down and is not just in standby mode.

3. Press the Reset switch on the bottom of the notebook with a thin pointed object.

4. Disconnect the AC Adapter and remove the battery. Push and hold the power switch for at least 30 to 45 seconds. Reconnect only the AC Adapter and power on the notebook. If the notebook starts correctly, shut down the computer, reinstall the battery, and allow at least 2 hours to charge the battery before disconnecting the notebook from AC power.

NOTE: If the battery is not inserted properly or is loose, the notebook may not start even when using AC power.

5. Disconnect all external and added devices.

NOTES:

* This includes PC Cards, USB devices, i.LINK devices, external speakers, network and modem cables, etc.

* If the notebook starts, reconnect each device one at a time, restarting the notebook between each item. If the notebook fails to start after a specific item is connected, contact the manufacturer of the item for further support.

6. If the notebook is connected to an external monitor or projector, ensure it is properly connected, configured, and powered on. Ensure the brightness and contrast controls are set correctly. Refer to the users manual for the display for more information.

7. If the customer has recently installed additional RAM, remove the additional RAM and reseat the original RAM.

8. Moisture condensation may have occurred. Ensure the notebook is in a dry, environmentally controlled area and powered off for at least one hour.

I would be better to get all your drivers from Windows Update. Once you get a fresh install of your Windows 7 Pro, you can then search for updates and you will be able to see all the drivers necessary to run in your notebook. It saves a lot of time searching from Sony page for all your drivers.

It could be your AC adapter is failing or your motherboard. First of all, test the power adpater. Make sure the apdapter outputs correct voltage. It’s possible that the outup voltage is not correct and the laptop shuts down to prevent the damge. Test your laptop with anohter known good power adapter. If the problem still exists, even after replacing the adapter, most likley it’s the motherboard failure. Replace the motherboard.

I suggest for you to delete the files you think you are not going to use anyway and leave those programs that comes with your Vaio as they only get a few space from your hard drive.

Do you think there is a defective problem on your webcam? Try to set it on default and use like 2-3 software for your webcam. If the color won't change, I suggest for you to have it checked and replaced.
